Jean-Paul Bourelly jazz musician and experimental guitarrist from Chicago and NY, is improvising continually on his guitar in Luk Perceval’s new production of »Penthesilea« by German classical playwright Heinrich von Kleist. His guitar sound, which has been described as »dense and raw, heavy, powerful, violent and beautiful«, will help add a new poetic dimension to the cruel play about the violent love of the Amazon Penthesilea (Katharina Schüttler) and the Greek warrior Achill (Rafael Stachowiak).
